Classic Monster Bash guests will be treated to a soundtrack of live music performances from Texas superstar Kelly Willis and Austin musician Lurleen Ladd beneath the shady oak trees of Star Hill Ranch.
Kelly Willis - Texas' Country Sweetheart
With rockabilly roots and a heartache-meets-honky-tonk voice, Kelly Willis has been labeled a country ingénue. As a new traditionalist singer/songwriter, her tunes effortlessly combine the storytelling and strings aspects of country music and the driving force of rock and roll.
After releasing four joint albums with husband Bruce Robison, Willis returned to her solo roots in 2018 and released Back Being Blue, her first solo album in more than a decade.
Lurleen Ladd is an accomplished singer-songwriter whose career began with an inspired trip to Nashville in 2005. Since then, she has written and performed with revered Austin producers and musicians including Mark Hallman and Eddy Hobizal. Lurleen’s first album Magnolia and Azalea Dreams was released in late 2018.
Lurleen Ladd is also a successful entrepreneur and dedicated community advocate. She is the founder of Halloween by Design and the Central Texas non-profit organization, The Shade Project.
